PULP FICTION

Rightly considered the most influential film of the '90s. After it blew the minds of everyone that saw it, world cinema was wraught with fakes, phonies and knock-offs pretending to be the real deal. But who could blame them? Who didn't want to combine retro, hip, cool and all those other buzz words with philosophical stories about violence and morality. This ambitious homage to movies, which is part dark comedy, part soul-searching gangster film and part revenge tale, still has no qualitative equal. I guess all those filmmakers are still just "trying real hard to be The Sheard." (R.J. LaForce)
