WHO WANTS TO KILL JESSIE?

WHO WANTS TO KILL JESSIE? is like a mid-1960s pop-art collision between William Klein’s WHO ARE YOU, POLLY MAGOO? and Harvey Kurtzman’s fledging magazine HELP!, though far more discerning (and fun) than either of those experiments. It’s shot well. The sets are stylish. It's only 80 minutes. And super-heroes jump out of comic-books while retaining the use of word balloons. (Joseph A. Ziemba)
